Mission
How do we make it real each day
INIC Preschool’s mission is to provide exceptional early education and care for children ages 0–5 through daily Spanish immersion, twice-weekly Mandarin enrichment, and an evidence-based curriculum that supports brain, body, and social-emotional growth. Since 2012, our team has delivered a consistent model: small, calm classrooms; loving, credentialed teachers; and clear family communication.
Teachers are background-checked, CPR/First Aid certified, and receive a minimum of 72 hours of paid professional development each year, which is more than 300% of the Texas requirement. In practice, this means responsive guidance, purposeful play, art and music, dynamic physical development, and explicit instruction in skills such as self-regulation, empathy, and problem-solving.
We maintain safe, spotless campuses and use parent tools, including secure live classroom cameras, to keep families connected without disrupting learning. Across our Austin and Round Rock locations, our mission is the same: to help each child feel known, supported, and challenged, and to build a strong foundation for bilingual communication, confidence, and lifelong learning.

Vision
What we’re growing together
INIC Preschool envisions a nurturing, inclusive school community where children discover a love of learning and grow into curious, confident, and compassionate global citizens. Early exposure to language and culture shapes how children think, relate, and solve problems.
That is why our classrooms operate in 100% Spanish every day, with engaging Mandarin enrichment twice each week, so children experience diverse ways of communicating and understanding. Our vision is a calm, orderly environment that feels like an extension of home, where purposeful play, art, music, movement, and social-emotional practice develop the whole child.
We see families as partners and teachers as professionals who are continuously supported to do their best work. By maintaining clean, secure campuses, ensuring transparent communication through live classroom cameras, and adopting a research-informed approach to early childhood, we aim to inspire enduring curiosity, empathy, and confidence that children carry into kindergarten and beyond.

Surprising Benefits of Real Language Immersion
Our program helps children develop cognitive flexibility, enhanced problem-solving skills, and greater academic success. Immersion fosters social-emotional growth by encouraging children to communicate effectively, understand emotions, and build empathy at an early age.
Social-Emotional Learning
Social-emotional learning (SEL) is an integral part of our curriculum. We provide children with the tools they need to manage emotions, build positive relationships, and develop resilience.
Evidence-based Curriculum & Cultural Program
The latest research in child development and early education informs our evidence-based curriculum. We focus on creating a rich learning environment where children thrive through purposeful play, art, music, movement, and social-emotional practices.
Cultural
Immersion
Children experience culture through language, celebrations, music, art, and everyday routines. Our immersion model helps students develop empathy, curiosity, and a natural appreciation for global perspectives from their earliest years.

Then and Now: About Our Spanish Immersion Preschool
INIC began in South Austin with a simple idea: Spanish all day, every day, delivered by caring professionals who understand how young children grow.
From the start, we paired immersion with parent transparency and a research-guided curriculum. Word spread among families who wanted more than care alone.
As our community grew, so did our capacity, adding a Round Rock campus so Williamson County families could access the same immersive model. Through the years, our priorities have stayed constant: excellent teachers, calm routines, clean and secure spaces, and a partnership with parents that feels like an extension of home.

Founders’ Story
Why INIC began—and what still guides us
INIC opened in South Austin in 2012 with a clear goal: create a preschool where children learn in Spanish all day, every day, within a calm, orderly environment that feels like an extension of home. From the start, the founders paired complete Spanish immersion with a research-informed curriculum, purposeful play, art, music, and daily social-emotional practice—so language, thinking, and relationships develop together. Transparent partnership with families was essential, which is why secure live classroom cameras and clear communication have been part of the experience since the early years.
As the community grew, the same immersion-first model extended to Round Rock, keeping expectations consistent across campuses: loving, credentialed teachers; clean, secure spaces; and routines that help young children feel safe, focused, and ready to participate. Twice-weekly Mandarin enrichment broadened children’s listening and curiosity without overwhelming the day, while ongoing teacher development (including a minimum of 72 hours of paid professional training annually) supported steady, high-quality practice in every classroom.
Today, those founding pillars remain unchanged—100% Spanish immersion, evidence-based teaching, social-emotional growth, movement and outdoor play, and family transparency; shaping confident communicators who are ready for kindergarten and beyond.

Spanish Immersion & Mandarin Chinese
Evidence shows that learning multiple languages supercharges the brains of very young learners, from infants to pre-kindergarten. Results include higher math, reading, emotional, and analytical skills.
It’s been widely documented that being bilingual deeply stimulates several regions of the brain, impacting many aspects of a child’s education. It’s not just about speaking a different language.

Germ-Safe Environment
We are obsessed with cleanliness. Germs and illnesses can spread quickly in a preschool, which is why we partner with Dis.in.fx to disinfect classrooms with a water-based, non-toxic, antimicrobial treatment. The DIS.IN.FX® Treatment Process is proven to kill 99.99% of harmful microbes and inhibit microbial growth, reducing cross-contamination.
Celebrating Cultures
From twice-weekly Mandarin Chinese classes to Black History Month and Día De Los Muertos celebrations, INIC embraces cultural diversity and community involvement. Austin is a wonderful mix of people, languages, and cultures, and we want students to be proud of their different heritages.
We also promote community involvement by organizing educational visits for civil servants and healthcare providers and by bringing families together through fun events like carnivals, holiday parties, book fairs, potlucks, and Open Class days.
